Some things you can try would be to lower your in-game graphics settings to the lowest possible to see if it will let you continue on. You can also try to run a repair as per this guide here.

What is your swtor username ? so the ticket status can be checked
This issue you are experiencing is usually due to a computer that does not meet minimum game requirements, so playing this on a computer that exceeds the minimum game requirements will usually sort this issue.
