FPS Issue

Anyone else have FPS issues tonight on the Harbinger, did a test on ping plotter over a 5min time and this is what I got:

  • @Belgorad

Wireless ? just looking at the high ping at the modem and the jitter lines with large swings

It does appear though that the other end certainly has some packet loss appearing.

VPN like www.wtfast.com will likely help if that is the issue cause.

so saying that anything over 5ms at the modem it is starting to be concerning (least for me it does)

here is a pingplot of my path done while logged into harbinger playing and is also wireless, albeit from Australia , but looks stabler then yours hence mentioning

On a desktop wired straight to the modem. Will wtfast.com still apply or would need something different since I'm wired?
  • Try Changing you LAN Cable, sometimes small damages can make for unstable connections.

If this is wired , the timing at the modem should be 0 or 1 ms (in my view) , fact it has 7 and spikes to 11 maybe either a under powered modem or in combination with firewall inspection (maybe) heavy traffic etc or some issue in regards to local network, if separate router and modem bridged together , break the bridge and retest.

My modem with SPI registers 0ms at the modem when wired.

Fact of high ping at the modem and jitter on the hops warrants checking at minimum

it depends on the cause , hard to say if wtfast will or wont have an affect without trying

I don't know if this is the same problem but I have experienced serious lag issues for weeks on Jedi Covenant. Doesn't matter when I am on or what character I'm playing. Lags in fights, in transition areas, etc. The fps monitor in the minimap goes from full bars to 1 bar regularly. There appears to be a lot of people having the same issue (if the forums are accurate) and, Yes, I have Comcast too. If it's a game server issue I would like to know (given what I'm seeing on the forums it's hard to tell if the problem is the server or Comcast).

I'll try wtfast and let you know how it goes.  Just an update that I didn't include here is my internet specs:

    ISP: TWC

    Down/Up: 300mbps / 20mpbs

Using an all in one wireless modem., an arris wireless ac modem.  It's like the newest model.  Attached a copy of what WTF Provided

I tried using WTFast like you suggested, here are my results from both WTFast and Pingplotter while using it.  I did also notice on hop 17 and 18 I did get a few packet loss like 5% but only there.
