FPS drop itself isn't unusual , what is occurring for you to look at the drops though ?
Heat (Temp of CPU and GPU) is usually one of the first things to check if performance is dropping and coming good again.
Dxdiag will help with system setup , also ensure windows power options are on high performance still
as i said, i had a laptop before this, and i experienced the exact same problem, temps are fine, it's the first thing i check, plus the system i am running currently is a little over a week old now, both of them had nVidia cards, and both experience problems in the exact same places, i've been checking the frame rates to see how my new system is performing, and i was disappointed to see no difference in SWTOR, i can post the DXDIAG if it'll help.
setting here idle my GPU is at 26 C, which i would expect is pretty good, i'll run SWTOR and see how temps go and report back, but i have attached the DXDIAG as well.
also settings are set to high performance, it's the first thing i do when i get a new machine after installing windows.
the logitech dual action is my controller, not sure what issues you are referring to, all my other games run fine, no crashing, could be windows complaining because i use run as admin, and i have done a clean install of all drivers, i use the driver uninstall program from 3d guru while in safe mode and did a clean install, and this didn't fix the issue.
you seem to be under the impression that this is a system problem, when BOTH systems had the exact same issue, and only SWTOR has this issue, i have NO missing drivers, and i have NO other problems running games.
