Galactic Command System

What does it take to get a Dark side/Light Side point in the Galactic Command System? My Shadow has gone from 0 to 6 today and at no time did the Light side receive a point after I leveled up. So, it...

This link should help with galactic command , this link should help about alignment

as to the pulldown , set it to what your character is currently skilled with, if a tank set to tank , if heals set to heals.
