Game assets not fully loading - unable to quest/flashpoint

I recently restarted the game, and have hit several pretty serious bugs already in trying out a brand new character - initially I played through the opening world as a Sith Inquisitor, and other than Lord Zash having on bad graphics that looked like a body fitting t-shirt with random words, it wasn't a big deal. I then followed the story to the fleet, and was offered the Flashpoint "The Black Talon" which started out fine, but I got to a point where I was to ride a shuttle over to the Alliance ship, at which point the cutscene would start, I would hear noises from it while I only saw outer space, and I would load in outer space, slowly falling to my death every 30-45 seconds. I wasn't able to use the unstick command to get out of that, as I would die, and reload in the same situation. On logging out, I decided to try it again to see if it was a one time error, it occured in the exact same fashion again.

No worries, I'll just go to Dromund Kaas I decided and follow the story that way - when I ride the non-flashpoint shuttle to it, it loads part of the world, but the IMperial Base that I have to follow the story quests in doesn't load, leaving a giant blue void where it should be, though I can see some of the graphical assets of the base floating in that void. I don't think that this should be a graphical issue, as there is nothing there I can stand on, even if I can't see it, and my computer kills the specs that the game requires..

I'm going to uninstall and reinstall to see if there are issues with a bad install, though this is a fresh install done two days ago, I'd like to think that wouldn't happen yet. Has anyone had a similar problem to this in their past, what was their solution?

Run a game repair , reinstall is usually not needed

Non-Streaming launcher - Log into the launcher but don't click Play. Check for small letters "ST" in the bottom left corner.
If this is NOT present, With the new launcher after login , select the username pulldown on the top right and select settings, then press repair.

Streaming launcher - If the letters "ST" is present, close the launcher, right mouse click on the game shortcut,
select open file location and delete the BitRaider folder. Then start the launcher
