Game will not change graphic setting or Screen Resolution

Alright so I play this game on two different computers. Now on my older one I was able to run this game max graphics, perfect screen resolution, etc, etc.

Now on this computer it perfect much better in lots of ways. It even has a titan graphics card, dual- i7 processors, blah blah blah you get the point its nice. But the only thing is that the monitor on this one is big. My old computer uses a 1920x1080 monitor. This one uses a 2560 x 1440 monitor. Now I believe that because of the size of this monitor causes issues. Now the game won't change from 800x600 and won't go off the lowest graphic setttings.

Whenever I try to change it the game goes black until the timer expires and it goes back to its old crappy setting. I set up this game on this computer for my brother and I to play together. Now because of this I cannot. I tried earlier using really old forums dating back from 1 year go to 2011 of people having a similar issue. I believe I went into the client setting files and changed the nativewidth, nativeheight, height, and width all to my 2560 x 1440. The forums also said to change the client_setting.ini (not actual document name but it is very close) to read only so that the game wouldn't rewrite it. After that the game did not change and would not get past the initial loading screen (10+ minutes were given and assumed that it would not work past that point). I even was told that deleting Bitraider from the game would help (it didn't) now I completely unistalled the game and reinstalled it. The games graphics still look awful at this low of a setting and won't change resolution STILL. I have no idea how to fix this issue please help.

P.S. The account that is currently having this issue on the game is called PeterAndWren (my brother is not very creative in usernames).

    Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time

    Copy the following in to the text box and press ok

    %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings

    Open the client_settings.ini file in notepad and ensure the following are displayed within

    Fullscreen = false
    D3DFullScreen = false
    RefreshRate = 60

    Check NativeHeight, NativeWidth, Height and Width ( all 4 ) match your monitor resolution.

    Save and close the file.
    Start the game as normal.

    If this fails paste the contents of this file

  • The game goes black then into window mode on the screen. Its very tiny obviously. What caused it to break last time was having it in full screen windowed.

  • So the full screen and D3DFullscreen were both true so I changed that.  Proceeded to change the height and width to their correct settings 2560 x 1440 and then it worked!

    THANK YOU
