Downloaded the update, was unable to scan, however. Went through a few solutions, tried messing with Windows Module Installer, but nothing worked there. I think this was still the case when I could last play SWTOR, however.
Unable to scan ? press the windows key and type cmd and then right mouse click on command prompt and select open as administrator then enter
sfc /scannow
Also if you press the windows key and type power and then select "choose a power plan" is high performance selected ?
- 7 years agoHigh performance is selected. When I type sfc /scannow, it says Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service. I've tried restarting the installer ans trying in safe mode, but no dice there. Like I said, I don't know if this is affecting SWTOR, but I know I was having this issue with sfc even when I was able to play last.

In the command prompt running as administrator type
net start trustedinstaller
then if that starts then try sfc /scannow

Got the same thing as before.
EDIT - Would posting my launcherDiag help?

Can you try creating a new windows administrator profile and try the game in the different windows profile
if you right mouse click on the game shortcut and select open file location, go into the bitraider folder and attach the file called swtor_swtor if you can.

Switched users, but that didn't work. Here's the file.

That file is dated 18 Nov , can i confirm you are using non streaming launcher per this link ? if not based on the swtor_swtor file errors and its last used date it will be worth switching to non streaming if not already.
- 7 years agoI am running non-ST as of now, yes

Do you have anything that is disabling windows services ? reason i ask is your comment that the repair service couldn't start and the log showing the bitraider service also couldn't start.
[FAIL]SVCPIPE: Could not open pipe \\.\pipe\BRSPTSVC_DLL_0_0_0_00000000, failing. ERR: 2 [CRIT]SVCPIPE: Could not open pipe, trying to start service and retry.
Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair servicewhat antivirus are you using just for info ?

As far as I know, nothing's disabiling them. Using McAfee

@ChancellorPalps Since the System File Checked (/sfc) is a fairly important function of the OS, could you search (google, bing, etc) the error message you get, and see if you can follow any recommended steps to try and get /sfc scannow to work?
