Hi everyone!
I’m having big troubles in defeating the Emperor on Doomsday! Every time I try i get killed when he’s casting somekind of spell on me. I’ve read on the internet that you can interrupt him before he casts the spell. But what does interrupting mean? And when should I use the interruption on the Emperor? I’m playing as a Guardian at level 48. Please any help on this one is much appriciated!

Force Kick - Interrupt - Every class has an interrupt ability that allows them to interrupt an enemy while they are casting. Enemy castbars that fill up from left to right are called casts and can be interrupted and the ability will be stopped, but castbars that go from right to left deal damage the entire time they are channeling. Using your interrupt in combat is very useful as it can prevent the enemy from damaging you, or sometimes even prevent them from stunning you or knocking you back!

The emperor has an instant kill ability, which is casted. Because it's so dangerous, it should have a rather long cast time. You can interrupt it or run out of line of sight. You could also set your companion to tank mode, on T7 the insta kill ability does not work as far as I can remember.
Hi. And thanks for the answer. But I still wonder when I should use the Force Kick on the Emperor. Is there any sign of when he is about to cast his instant kill ability? And how can I run out of sight? And also I’m wondering how I set my companion on tank mode? Thanks in advance.

The spell is called "Force Blast" and has a 8s(!) cast time. See the following video (just a random search result, it may not be the best video to demonstrate this).

@ 2:44 (at the end of the fight) you can see the emperor casting it.
The player in the video uses T7 in DPS stance. To change the companion's role, right click on the companion's portrait.
edit: forgot to mention you need to set up your UI to see the target's cast bar (I don't know if the standard UI shows this)

Hi again! And thanks for the answer. But I still can’t defeat him! I’ve been searching the internet on how to beat this boss, but nothing works! Do you have any specific tips or tricks to defeat him? Please help me on this one!
