How do I get dual sabers?

Hi everyone!
I’ve posted this question once before, but didn’t get any answers then. So here i go again: How do I get to wield dual sabers in SWTOR? Do I have to purchase anything special? And in that case, from where? Please anyone, help me with this!

    create new character
Light side Jedi ---> Knight ---> Sentinel (dual sabers)
if you chose Guardian - they are single saber
if you chose Consular ---> Shadow - they are double bladed (saberstaff)
if you chose sage - they are single saber

    same for dark side
Dark side ----> Warrior ----> marauder is dual sabers
    Juggernut is single saber
if you chose Inquisitor -----> assasin is double bladed (saberstaff)
    or sorcorer is single saber

other classes are not jedi therefore dont hold lightsabers.

after creating your character - it will still start with a single simple weapon not even a lightsaber.
after a bit of story progression you'll be able to equip another weapon (if marauder or sentinel) or whatever the class uses

if you press C to bring up the character screen you'll see main hand and offhand
for sentinel and marauders offhand is for a second weapon.
after unlocking lightsabers (story wise mostly) you'll be able to equip lightsabers in those slots.

no character begins with 2 lightsabers as a lvl 1.

  • Thanks for the answer. But do I have to create a new character? If I already have a Guardian character and I’m playing at level 30, isn’t there another way to create a sentinel?

Logically, you should have the ability to choose a second combat style for your character, unless it's only for subscribed player, then my bad

In this case, yes, you need to create a new character for it to be a sentinel

Once your character is created, the combat style you choose is locked

You don't need to delete your existing to create a new character 🙂

    I wasn't sure, thanks.

I'm a subscribers myself, so sometimes I don't know what ftp or privileged have access to or not.
