Infinite loading screen

Hi guys. I recently created my first account and downloaded swtor, excited to play as soon as I could I hopped right in as soon as the first part of the download was complete (starting planets). I created my character with no problem but when I pressed play the loading screen would go up to around 90% and would freeze there while the little gear and the edge still spins, I tried a lot of times trying to find the problem (firewall, antivirus, whatever) but to no hope, even when the download finished it was the same. So then I found a post right here that explained How to install Swtor correctly so I followed every step of that guide and tried again, but the same problem is still bugging me. Don't know what else to do to make it work, I would really aprecciate some help. If you need any logs or any info please tell me.

Thank you for helping and sorry for my englando 🙂

Try this obscure workaround , this is directions for Win 10 , other OS's are similar, just in case your affected by this issue, symptoms are a 90% login halt,

Press the Windows key and select settings

Go into Time and language, select region and language on the left

Click additional date, time & regional settings

Under region click the link for change date, time and number formats

Click additional settings at the bottom

Click either reset , or ensure . is decimal symbol and , is digit grouping symbol

Want currency to display as $ 1,000.00

Wow.. Thank you so much friend. Couldn't exactly follow the steps you mentioned (I have Windows 8.1, but maybe I screwed up something) but what worked for me was setting my keyboard to English UK. My default is spanish so when I'm about to play I just change my settings to english again and works like a charm. Thanks a lot for the help. Cheers
