When i run my game which i just recently reinstalled on a computer that can more than handle everything, it locks my keyboard to the game and doesnt allow me to use the keybindings i have for muting in discord or on my obs to work. When i check in graphics the options are all exclusive mode on the graphics. is this something i can fix or shouldnt be happening, tried everything including uninstalling and reinstalling.
not exactly sure what you mean , but if you use keybinds with CTRL in them whilst in game you may have issues for example
I use the - key on the numpad to mute discord and it doesnt work when in game, also i use my G keys on my keyboard to mute my mic on obs, none of these work while clicked into the game and i have to click off the game to anything else for it to accept input
only reason i posted asking a question is my friend who i played with uses the same keys and they worked for him
whilst i dont use obs , i would expect if an obs overlay is active in the game and there is no conflict with the key bind in question, it should work
I agree it should, so if anyone has a solution or something i can check let me know, cuz its not.
is obs being run as administrator ?
Even if its not, the game locks everything to it including discord and other programs from accessing any keys, running those things in administrator mode wont supercede the game locking the keyboard to it
it has mattered with other programs i know that
despite knowing it would make no difference i tried running things as admin, it doesnt affect that the game locks the keyboard from any input outside the game... so the problem is not solved by administrator mode... if there was an actual support where i talk to developers or coders to figure it out this might be helpful. but as a PC person when i said i had tried every single step that was obviously one of the steps tried... So i will wait for someone who works for them to get back to me
Maybe your in the wrong forum, best talk to obs, swtor support will not assist getting a 3rd party software program to work in swtor
