Launcher stuck - installing main assets 234 at 5%

Hi,

I my launcher is stuck at 5%, says "Installing main assets 234" (the file in the main directory says assets_swtor_main_232to233) if it's of any help.

It doesn't just stop the launcher, it slows my computer terribly.
In the task manager the performances and RAM are not high but I can't even load an internet page or go through files, I have to kill the process (even opening the task manager takes around 1min). 

so , any idea please ?

    @nightgard

    It isnt showing what file it is borking on unfortunately

    if you right mouse click on the asset folder and then select properties , on the previous version tab is there a backup of this folder you can restore too ?

    I hate to say this , it may be less stressful to delete the asset folder and re-download the game files

    Any advice on that ? 
    More errors with the streaming launcher or else ? 

    Sorry to log-off like that I have to go to work.

    I prefer the non streaming launcher myself.

    It comes down to if one method keeps playing up switch to the other, but to answer if it was me I would re-install using non streaming

    Well it was nice to try to save my installation folder 😛

    Didn't work, I trashed everything and re-downloaded the game. I didn't want to lost my entire week end for a 30go download.
