Launcher stuck on checking for updates

direct launcher has been stuck for nearly a week now (since 7.3.c?). now i am stuck not even being able to redownload after trying uninstall / reinstall. ive tried all the usual fix its but nothing seems to work. am getting pissed at paying for something i cannot acces.

help please.

some causes of update/download issues, are the antivirus is blocking, or not enough free harddrive space , start with checking these ?

antivirus is not blocking, I tried to closed them all but there's not working.
There's 200+ GB free harddrive space.

end task on the antivirus processes to be certain, and give the router/modem a reboot

and reboot the computer if not done so yet
