Thanks for that explanation that was pretty clear , appreciate the depth , personally I think what has occured will lay in the uninstalling of swtor quoted below, but will let the studio look deeply at that.
"One that said the publisher was EA, and another that said the publisher was Bioware. Either way, I uninstalled both of them. "
This will have two separate file paths for removal now why what has occurred is what needs to be found.
I am sure when they see my flag they will respond here and hopefully what has been posted already will give them a good starting point to look working out what has occurred.
Thanks for this link too , it is never a good idea to link to the exe directly as the instructions are missing as well.
I will edit Raidell's post to point to the directions not just the exe file
You destination would be different so not sure how that played into it
- The Launcher Repair Utility places the directory it is initially run in in the Destination Folder field by default. You can either move the .exe to the appropriate Game Install folder (see default locations below), or change the information within the Utility after it is run. Default locations:
- For 32 bit Operating Systems - C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\
- For 64 bit Operating Systems - C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\
