Massive Lag Using Comcast

I'm getting massive lag (enough that the game is not playable).  I'm on an east coast server (shadowlands).

Confirmed with Comcast that the router is good to go (plus I can pull 200mbps down and 30mbps up on speedtest).

Trace route shows errors at hop 6 and 7 with significant packet loss.  6 is a Comcast site and 7 is Level 3.  I have a ticket in with Comcast, but was hoping Bioware or EA could push the issue from their end as well.  If this doesn't get fixed, I will not be able to continue to subscribe.

I ran a trace on the west coast server DNS and got similar results (I didnt check it before submitting the ticket with Comcast).

If I remember correctly, 6 is a comcast site and 7 and 8 are Level 3.

I'm wondering if comcast and level 3 are somehow screwing up traffic to the SWTOR servers.  Kind of tough to play when traffic is hitting 100% PL.

    Re-run these connected by ethernet cable (Not Wireless) and see if it persists apart from spiking at the modem , there is nothing major out of place.

    The spiking appearing in the first results all the way through appears to originate from your modem/network

    I am with At&t in California and having this same issue. Every time I hit server 4.69.206.81 my latency spikes very high. Creating a very unpleasant experience when playing east coast servers. I haven't played in about 2-3 years, but I never had this issue when I played heavily in the past =|

    @Corpis

    I would go ahead and grab www.pingplotter.com and run this to the servers when playing and see what it graphs , this graph can be saved as a JPG and uploaded here or imgur and linked.

    If you play on an East Coast server: 159.153.92.28
    If you play on a West Coast server: 159.153.68.252
    If you play on a European server: 159.153.72.252

    Upload a graph of at least 10min of gameplay to help create a good amount of time to view what it plots.
