Miralaku masks with hood issue

I am having an issue where Miralaku masks are replaced with the first mask option once I equip a hooded head piece. It happens with every mask and every hood I have tried it with. Surely this is not intentional considering when in the Appearance Changer menu it shows the mask with the hood on. I bought the race specifically for this look and I'm hoping this is an issue that can be fixed somehow.
