MSVCP80.dll is missing?

FINALLY got the game to patch, and when I clicked "Play" I got a pop-up saying:

"The program can't start because MSVCP80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

Someone please tell me there is another way to resolve this! If I reinstall it'll take two days!

If you go into add/remove programs , you should what Microsoft visual C++ is installed , now if you click on the listing there should be a modify button , use that and select repair and see if this helps initially

Yes, I actually redownloaded that c ++ 2005 that the file belongs to. I did a search for the file on my disk, and got 7 results. 3 of those are in other game folders, and the other 4 are in c:/windows/winsxs/x86_microsft.vc80.crt_ ect ect ect...
