I know this is a late response but did you purchase these through the Cartel Market for both? Make sure you redeemed the items from the unclaimed section if you did and also make sure that you applied the species unlock as it's an item that must be used.
For all species except Togruta or Cathar I would recommend buying them from the Legacy Window by clicking Y and then going to the species section. The cost is the same here as the cartel market, there is no item it just automatically unlocks to your account which I prefer versus applying it to your account.
