No gift on gift send to friend

I purchased a gift of SW:TOR $15 pack for my partner as she was enjoying playing some of the story. It has been a pain, the gift code produced nothing other than a "You have no gift" error.

The code was purchased through EA Origin who have refused to assist.


The customer service rep claimed that their only obligation is to provide a receipt and not the game access or codes.

    Just to confirm a few things

    Is Erylith the origin account that purchased the code ? also can you provide the swtor account username that the code is trying to be applied too.

    Erylith is the origin account that made the purchase.

    Elspenyth is the account that I sent the gift too.

    Thank you for the post, hopefully we can get to the bottom of this. The info Owen asks for should help, especially about the gift recipient account. 

    Can I check if there was much time between the purchase of the gift, and when the recipient would have tried to open it?

    I don't think that it'll be the case, but does she have a SWTOR panel in Origin? If so, please click on it, then the Cog icon, then Game Properties, and try to consume that code on the SWTOR site.

    No SWTOR panel in origin at all.

    No apparant way to access the code.

    Also she tried roughly 15 minutes after the gift was sent and has tried every so often since then.

    Thank you for the extra information. I'll try to flag this on my end and try to find out what happened here. Unfortunately I don't have the tools to fix this directly, but hopefully you can get some updatae on this soon.

    Given this is Sunday, best to wait for Monday in regards to updates , hopefully then this is resolved for you.
