No Sound in SWTOR

I currently have no sound in SWTOR. I have also tried to play a cinematic and there is no sound there either.

Things I have tried:

1. CTRL S

2. Update Drivers

3. Deleted Bitraider

4. Repaired the game.

It seems upon investigation that SWTOR isn't creating a "Audio Session" in Windows (10) and thus the game doesn't appear in the "Volume Mixer".

Other games, applications, and web browsers seem to work fine with sound.

Did you try manually going into the preferences and verify all the settings and volume levels are correct?  I attached a screenshot of what mine shows in the preferences.

I would also go into your key binds and ensure that CTRL + S hasn't been changed.  This is found under your Key Binds under the "Miscellaneous" section at the bottom for "Toggle Sound"

  • Of course. I have checked all that before posting.

I have also since completely reinstalled windows and the game to ensure windows and the game wasn’t corrupted.

When you pull up the launcher, do you have the letters "ST" on the bottom left corner?  Also I would try adding swtor.exe and launcher.exe to both your anti-virus / firewall safe list in case they are blocking something.

  • Yes but as I have said. I went from a streaming launcher, to regular launcher by deleting bitraider and even reinstalled the game back to a streaming launcher.

The problem has to do with swtor communicating with windows. It’s not creating an audio session. But yes I did even try disabling all firewalls.

    Thanks for your help tho!
