Old account not linking to Steam?

Question

Hey guys! I have an account that I used to play on occasionally. I recently wanted to get back into playing now that I have my Steam Deck, but for some reason why I try to login with my credentials, it say "We can't log you in. Please double-check you're using the Steam account you usually play on and try again."
I've never played or made any other account through Steam, and from everywhere I've read, there's only a way to unlink accounts to Steam, but only after they've first been linked! I'm so frustrated, my Steam and SWTOR account use the same email, I'm at a loss on what to do. Please help!

You may have inadvertently logged another swtor account maybe&nbsp;

Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time&nbsp;
Copy the following in to the text box and press ok&nbsp;
%localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings
Look for "SwtorDisplayname" _Account.ini files see if there is more then one swtor displayname listed there

Ah, so upon doing that, it shows all my account info FROM the account I'm trying to log into, including my characters, but I still seem unable to login. Would deleting the login files and trying to log back in possibly fix the issue?

thinking would be another swtor account is tied to that steam account

Best suggestion is to call swtor support and provide them any other email addresses you use and see if they can find any other swtor accounts
