patch download capped at 512KB/s

Hi

My patch download is sitting on 512KB/s and won't speed up, even though there is capacity on my connection.

    I removed the bitraider clients everal months ago. last couple of updates im stuck at a max of 30Kb/s download from SWTOR.

    EVERYTHING else downloads at normal speeds. Ive run speedtests, tried all the fixes for slow downloads and nothing helps. Ive even tethered to my cell phone to rule out my home internet connection. It appears the SWTOR download is throttled to 10% of my actual download speed.

    I know this is an old post, but I didn't see the solution that worked for me listed anywhere near the top of any search results for this issue. I was having the same problems, incredibly slow download speeds. I tried all the suggestions of editing the launcher.settings file, but none of those worked for me. What I finally found was this utility (official EA guide link) that repairs the launcher. After placing the .EXE in my SWTOR install folder and running it, I'm downloading at full bandwidth. Hope this helps someone.
