I figured it out. Turns out I didn't have the correct amount of money, which is odd when I was above by 40 or more cents. In other words I had enough money, but almost couldn't buy it if I had suddenly lost mony for whatever reason. Obviously though, it didn't work. CAD to USD tricked me really hard. It's fine now, thanks for assisting.
