Might be time for a fresh install of the game.
I have had problems like this in the past with the game not launching. After I exhaust all my options I usually will remove the whole program from my computer and just suffer through a fresh install.
Go to control panel>Programs and Features (or Add/Remove programs for earlier versions of windows)>Star Wars: The Old Republic>Uninstall
Then simply reinstall the game and hopefully whatever is causing your problem is resolved.
That is kind of a last resort for me for a number of reasons...
1) I installed from the actual physical disks. Probably won't affect anything, but can't be too careful.
2) Fear that it will only worsen the problem.
3) Time. Installing the game takes *foop*ing forever...

With the install from the dvds is it showing the new launcher or the old one ?

I have no idea what launcherlog and the other thing are, so no...?
Try the clean boot as mentioned in the other thread and see if the launcher appears
I just ran a clean boot. It had absolutely no effect.
Just to confirm the issue currently is that the launcher doesn't appear at all ? if the processes are appearing it is an indication of something is blocking the launcher loading.
Have you tried the launcher repair utility (Link) yet ?
There can be a number of reason why the launcher isnt appearing, although the clean boot should of eliminated most of them but not all.
Malwarebytes (mbam) has been known to block game launchers for example link
Edit -Norton has too - example 1 link , example 2 link
Why its important that launcher.exe and swtor.exe and brwc_swtor.exe are all listed in the windows defender , norton and malwarebytes exception lists for all Antivirus, Malware and Firewall lists, it only takes one to block.
