Ahaa, a very early account signup! With an account that old, it's common to experience the re-verification issue you're facing now. Back when you created your account, the validation check didn't exist, and when we switched to the F2P model years ago, some accounts ended up with accounts that needed to be validated with an email address, even though they already had one.
The workaround is to use a different email address, one that's not in use on SWTOR or EA (or if you use GMail, just switch to @googlemail.com instead.), and after it's verified, you can switch back.
Also, ignore the EA Customer Experience email you were sent just now, I pulled a Fry and missclicked something. https://gfycat.com/CavernousNiftyAmethystgemclam
