Have the same problem with my non-streaming luncher.
you can try ignoring the messege, if you press X or Ok it will kick you out, but you can try to press play on your characters and it should work.
BUT, for some reason one of my characters wont work, will get stuck loading, and each time I quit the game through alt+F4 it starts to download a random thing.... English assest 5 or english video 1... and this wont solve the problem
I have the non streaming launcher and don't have this issue
After you login , on the top right you will see your username , select settings on the pull down and run repair
already tried, it scans the game, says it finished. then I have to relog the luncher because it wont let me press play. then It starts updating something...
that what happened before. I'll lunch the game once more, see what happens, try to fix luncher again, and will update you.
With the launcher closed , in the main game folder is a file called retailclient_swtor.version , delete this file , it will refresh the core components of the launcher , see if that makes any difference as well.
Well I managed to update my game by dleting the Bitraider folder, activating the launcher to create a new one, exiting the launcher, bringing back the old bitraider folder from the trash bin but pressing skip all files, relaunching the launcher, and it forces the update.
Deleting the bitraider folder triggers a repair effectively this wonder why a copy of the old folder made a difference
I didn't find this file at all, what I did find is inside the Star wars - the old republic folder there's a folder named swtor, there i found a file named retailclient, I deleted it and it's now downloading English assest 1 again.
Those are folders not files , English video 1 is a start of a new game download, maybe restore them , unless you want to see if a redownload sorts it
The Bitraider file doesn't exist on the non streaming launcher as far as I recall
