Bioware made this promotion so confusing. Annoying that amount of people with this is sad and unfair.

Like I said in my last post, I finally got my 30 day bonus on the last day of the first month of subscription.

The only thing I've done was sending a in-game ticket saying when I subscribed and copying and pasting the terms of the promotion.
I got the answer 3-4 days later.

Lucky you.. I sent 3 tickets with the same result "call us to prottect your account.." I live outside the US and I dont want to call. Its frustrating!

I live in South America and was afraid I'd need to call them too... Man, seeing this happen to so many people makes me furious...
Since I bought 60 days game time, I've had time to submit that ticket just before my first 30 days expired.
You can try to make a skype call too, if you want to avoid phone expenses.
It feels like I've won in lottery getting my situation solved...

    Account Name: theqordath

  • So you're saying that ONLY players that got an e-mail about it could actually get the free time, no matter that it was advertised via the launcher and the terms and conditions said nothing about NEEDING an e-mail invite to get this offer?

How is this okay? It's not just misleading, it's false advertising. A friend and I both paid for subscriptions thinking that we'd get the free time. Now it looks like we won't be getting anything - never mind that I was a brand-new subscriber during the promotion period. Why was this advertised for in the launcher at all if you couldn't get the bonus time by subscribing through that ad in the first place??

I suppose not because I don't get emails from Bioware/EA about SWTOR. I only saw the promotion because of the launcher advertise. This shouldn't be a problem at all for them. It's clearly stated in my account when I did pay for my subscription (mid December), so according to the terms, I was valid to participate (and I did received my 30 days bonus a week ago).

Yes, they said, use Skype, but it does not feels right I have to spend U$S10 on skype to make this call, to try to get 30 days that should cost me U$S15 and should be free. Very disapointing...  I BOUGHT this game, a long time ago, before it was free to play, and this is how they paid us?

I'm kinda having the same problems, if it wasn't for the promise of 30 days free I might not have even subbed and now my 30 paid days have ended and I didn't get any extras, I understand that I paid for 30 days and got 30 days, but I was promised another 30 days and feel really cheated now, like if in a supermarket id have seen something that is on a 2 for 1 action, just to find out when I'm paying that I have to pay for both because the action is only for blue eyed people. Is there anything I can do now that my sub has ended and I lost support?

Any word on getting this situation fixed? I would appreciate it if I didn't miss out on the February subscriber reward on account of this mix-up.
