Check the amd card is set to run the game
There is a missing texture issue when using Intel cards set on high textures
The i5-4670 has a Intel 4600 built in , why I mention this
@proxos666, I appreciate your help, but please, read the first post.
I'm using AMD R9 GPU (Crossfire disabled means that I have disabled only second AMD GPU specifically for swtor.exe process, and the first one will still work).
Yep fully understand
From that picture the only time I have heard of Invisible NPC /missing texture was on intel cards.
Apart from that repair is usually the fix
Try deleting the cache file if you like called diskcachearena found at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars-The Old Republic\swtor

SpoilerWhenever i set Shader Complexity to High (no shadows or bloom), the textures of certain objects, the trees and grass flicker or have like a checker lay over them. Also heads of NPC's just disappear but they have heads during conversations. I have both the launcher.exe and swtor.exe in windows xp SP3 so i dont know what the problem is. Also updated my drivers specs are:
Intel I7-4700MQ @ 2.4GHZ
8.00 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics 4600
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Any help is appreciated as i would like to play this game as good looking as possibleAlso, check in Windows 10 if the power settings aren't in an economy mode, but High Performance.
Disable the Aero function.
If you don't know the possible solutions, please, don't post irrelevant methods there. Win10 does not have Aero and this PC is not a laptop to be in low-power mode (moreover, it's not possible unless you do it by yourself manually).
Given the reactions you're giving to the people trying to help, we should stop helping you and let you figure out the issue yourself.
Good luck with that. Posse out.
Advising wrong solutions does not help. For example @proxos666 has given some good and possible ways to resolve this issue, which I'm trying to do right now. And you are talking about the Aero which does not exist since Win7. Thanks, I'll pass from that.
Sadly, the launcher validation + full assets redownload didn't help either. But I noticed one strange thing - I tried to use my second character which is not on Imperial Fleet, and the game simply does not load the Korriban Prologue. The loading is stuck on about 90%. I guess Win10 is the main reason?
12:30 am here so need sleep , definitely getting tired
Windows 10 is hit and miss for some , but most video driver issues seem laptop mobility drivers then desktop drivers
mind posting a dxdiag and will have a look tomorrow, by the sounds of it you are doing a re-install of the assets ? let me know if that sorts it.
As to 2nd character loading , only issues I am aware of are the rishi initial cinematic some need to lower settings to low
otherwise there is a bug for characters logged out in strongholds/guildships that can no longer login (halts on loading in), a ticket is needed requesting character relocation to fleet
Tried to basically redownload the whole game with its assets - sadly it didn't help.

No problem mate, thanks for the help today. Regarding the dxdiag, see att. file.
> As to 2nd character loading , only issues I am aware of are the rishi initial cinematic some need to lower settings to low
My second char has almost finished prologue, so I guess CGI videos are not the reason ☹️ This issue is actually the first one on Win10 so far, haha.
> Otherwise there is a bug for characters logged out in strongholds/guildships that can no longer login (halts on loading in), a ticket is needed requesting character relocation to fleet
Yes, my char got kicked from the Guild, but it was on fleet when I logged in yesterday. Guess not our reason too.

I'll try to run Win8 VM a bit later with the same assets I downloaded today. Will try to run it there just to make sure the game files are alright. But I feel that this things happen because of W10.
Will have a look after some sleep (1am now)
If you come across anything in between time let me know
Sure, thank you. Good night 😉
Also since swtor just did this huge graphic patch some of the texture are still messed up while you may not have any thing wrong with your set up at all just a driver issue with anew OS. Along other things to try is to install direct x 9 If it is a clean install of windows 10 and make sure you have even though windows 10 has a new version of direct x and it is supposed to work i seen in the past not having the version on the OS that the game is made for has issue with graphics. I know is sound odd but this is Microsoft after all Visual C++ Redistribution for Visual Studio 2015 found at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145 reason for that is the game is program on these to things and if there missing in windows 10 you will have graphic errors even though it may play fine. I know when the game came out if we did not have both of these all kinds of weird graphic glitches happened along with graphic lag.
The DX9 way hyped me for a bit, but sadly it didn't work too. The rest of soft is already installed.
Update:
- completely removed and installed the latest nonbeta AMD drivers (now 15.7.1, not the newest 15.9.1);
- again removed TOR with its appdata and reg data, then installed it again;

Now it just won't load the char on Imperial Fleet at all. But the game is not frozen - it works, the blue circle is moving and so on.
@sen7ra Morning, just for the sake of asking.. Did you happen to go through the tedious task of turning off all the overlays and things that are at present problematic with Windows 10 + games.
ie: ATI's Raptor is a T('word'), same with Nvidia's Experience
Windows 10 Xbox app having the overlay automatically turned on from install of Windows 10.
Voip Overlays, Vent,Mumble,Teamspeak.. some systems have issues.
Morning.
The only overlay that is active is MSI Afterburner. Xbox was disabled long time ago, Raptr is force-disabled. Will try to run with Afterburner disabled, thanks for the info 🙂

UPD: sadly didn't help. Tried to paste the default settings in the tor's config:
Fullscreen = false D3DFullScreen = false RefreshRate = 60 NativeHeight = 1080 NativeWidth = 1920 Height = "1080" Width = "1920" WindowX = 0 WindowY = 0
Didn't help too. Just infinite loading screens.
I just wanted to play a damn game.

UPD2: found this: http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=8364018&postcount=145
Welp, didn't help too.
(*Way cool you found my old post).
@sen7ra Again just spit-balling here...
appdata/local/swtor <<<< Not read only?
Documents/swtor <<<, Not read only?
Launcher.exe <<< set to run as admin
Brwc_swtor.exe <<< set to run as admin
Swtor.exe (inside the swtor/swtor/retailclient/) <<< set to run as admin
(.Exe files will have small shields on the icons when ) <<< set to run as admin.
Yeah, everything is like this.
Just because I got caught out not mentioning something in regards to loading screens recently , I will mention just to confirm.
With the loading screen halt , how does your windows display currency ? $ 1,000.00 or $ 1.000,00 if it is the latter loading screen will halt @90%
Edit - below you list
Height = "1080"
Width = "1920"these should just be
Height = 1080
Width = 1920Yes, the Height and Width are without quotation marks.
About the currency format: it was the second one, yes, I've changed it to $ 123,456,789.00. Gonna try again.
The thing with currency format helped me. Unbelievable.
Thank you very much!
To summarize, the first problem was, probably, because of the newest beta drivers from AMD (15.8 and 15.9.1). Solution: download DDU (dispay driver uninstaller) and completely remove your beta drivers, then, after reboot, install the recent stable drivers (15.7.1).
The second problem is the stucking loading screen at about 90%. The solution is simple: change your current currency format from " $ 123.456.789,00 " to " $ 123,456,789.00 ". This will help.
Kudos to @proxos666.
PS: noticed one interesting thing - your game won't load to some location unless your Char. selection screen has its background (not the space BG with stars).
Like this: http://i.imgur.com/UWMkxDB.png - BG appeared, the game is working now.
Glad to hear you back in game again and glad every one tried to chip in and help each other it is nice when we come together to help one another with problems.
