Server Lag every minute or so.

Alright, the copy and paste bot sent me here so here it is.

I got a new laptop a few months ago, and since then anytime I play SWTOR, I get intermittent lag. About every minute or so (sometimes far less, others times, longer) I get huge lag spikes, the MS jumping to over 20000, the connection simply becomes a red X, then everything is back to normal until it kicks in again. I have never been disconnected by this, I should note. The game isn't unplayable, but it is extremely irritating, especially when I am trying to level (or get to the VIP area on the fleet, only to drop back down to the bottom of the elevator because hey, that's where the lag kicked in... -.- ).

Now, before you swoop in with your "it's your internet connection / router / something on your side" comments, I will also point out that there are two other laptops in the house that run SWTOR perfectly fine with no connection issues in the slightest. Not even a blip. It's also nothing to do with them being on the internet at the same time, because the lag persists even when they are both switched off. That of course leads me to believe that is is this laptop that is the problem (despite the fact it can play other MMO's and League of Legends with no problems at all) with this game. But being the non tech savvy that I am, I don't even know where to begin searching for the issue.

Anyone got any idea's of where I can start to figure out this problem?

Thanks!

Sorry I should have better clarified, yes Windows Update ..... but a couple of them were specifically to do with the HD4600 side of the Windows Update.

Ahh ok didn't dig as deep , 8004acb3  likely best to look in the windows reliability monitor and double check they are recently listed.

I really don't want to be poking around the BIOS and touching things >.> I am not technically inclined for these things.

I'm running an scf scan now, the windows troubleshooter brought up "Service registration is missing or corrupt".

And I did point out that I've tried connecting via cable instead of wireless. The lag vanishes, but the game itself becomes choppy and NPC's don't load unless I'm around 5ft from them.

What I don't understand is how this is only affecting SWTOR. I've now tried EVE, Guild Wars 2 and World of Warcraft, along with League of Legends and there is nothing happening for any of them. SWTOR is the only game that has this issue.

Update: SFC scan successfully fixed corrupted files. Yay?

Update 2: There's a pingplotter of me on the character select screen of SWTOR.
