Server lag increased?

Use www.pingplotter.com to servers , it should give an indication what is occuring

• If you play on an East Coast server: 159.153.92.28
• If you play on a West Coast server: 159.153.68.252
• If you play on a European server: 159.153.72.252

So is anyone else noticing this? Still around 50 this morning... It's also 50 on another computer that has SWTOR. Other games have normal pings, so I'm thinking it's something on SWTOR's end.

Apologies, but I didn't download ping plotter. I don't feel comfortable downloading third party software like that, always some hidden stuff in it. All I wanna know is if anyone else is experiencing this. Speedtest shows my ping to constantly be around 16-25, the usual, so I can only assume it's SWTOR and they might just need to restart servers. Also saw server transfers were free so maybe there's increased traffic.

You question installing third party software but have and use Flash, one of the most unsecure softwares on the net?

I hope you update it daily.

Speedtest has a bias as well.  Since it's the most commonly used routing test on the net, many ISPs provide better routing to those servers so that those tests get better results.

Since installing software isn't an option for you, you can try opening a prompt and doing a pathping

to their servers.  You can find a list of IP addresses here:

I;m on crappy wifi most days so I'm used to seeing latency in the 25-50 range.

I ran a tracert and after the 6th node when it connects to the BioWare server it increases. The numbers look like:

Looks like normal internet routing, things can change if say a fibre is cut and they redirect traffic (just an example)

Doesnt appear to be a Bioware issue , just a internet thing, can be on the reverse path as that isnt displayed.

Try the free trial of www.wtfast.com and see if it affects the timing, its about all you can do.

Im with Time Warner and this week apparently they require all TVs to use Digital TV Adapters, so maybe something changed on their end to accommodate this? It went into effect Tuesday, the day my ping went to 50. 

But again, it's nothing on my end? If not, I'll just deal with it, again, nothing game breaking, just bugged me.
