Server Not Responding

Hi.  I'm new to SWTOR, and whenever I try to log-on with the Launcher, I get the message "Server Not Responding."  I've already been through the entire DIY list of fixes, but none of them have fixed it.  Here are a few things that I've already done, and what I already know...

  • I downloaded the game from a disk, not from the website.
  • I've already tried the Launcher Repair Utility, which doesn't appear to repair the Launcher.
  • In my Kaspersky Anti-Virus software, I added swtor.exe and launcher.exe to list of Trusted Applications.
  • In the Windows Firewall, I added Launcher.exe and swtor.exe to the list of programs that are allowed through the Firewall.  (I use Windows 7).
  • I also opened the ports on my router suggested by help.ea.com.
  • And I redeemed my Product Registration Code at www.swtor.com/redeem/game.

So at this point, I'm out of ideas, and the Launcher still says "Server Not Responding."  Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Try disabling both your anti-virus and firewall and see if that helps.  The launcher repair utility also is only for the launcher downloaded from the site.

If the game is fully installed try using the repair option in the launcher under the gear looking icon.

If you are using wireless, try a wired connection to rule that out.
