Stuck at lvl 55, best way to move forward?

Hey, I just leveled my first toon to 55 and was disappointed when I couldn't level farther.  I was hoping that since I had been a subscriber within the last year, that I would have been eligible to access more content, but I am not currently subscribed.  So I'm guessing that I can progress either by subscribing, or by purchasing the Shadows of Revan expansion?  My real question is, if I subscribe for a month, assuming I am able to level past 55, if I cancel my subscription, and then level another toon to 55, will I have to subscribe again to get the next toon past 55?

Or in other words, if I am planning on leveling 2 or 3 toons over the next few months, would I be able to just subscribe for a month, or would I be better to just buy the expansion outright?

Also, with the next expansion coming dec 2nd, would I be able to get away with just taking a break for a while, and subscribing sometime in November so that I can move past 55 at that point, and at the same time get access to the next expansion?

    @Narsail

    Ups should have been clearer.

    As cheaterll said all Content stais available for your Account.

    So if you have an paid Subscription on Dec. 2. The Level Cap for your Account is 70.

     Yes you will need to Subscribe, look at the Subscriber Rewards for 25.Oct. and 29.Nov. and then decide when you will Sub, important for 5.0 would be to have an Sub over 02.Dec

    Thanks for confirming that 🙂

    Can you answer the other part though?  Will I need to re-subscribe for the next toon I want to lvl past 55?

  • Once you have unlocked an expansion (including the levelcap) you have access to it forever, so no, you won't have to resubscribe everytime.

    K, thanks.  As long as it is account wide, it makes more sense just to subscribe for a month.  If it wasn't account wide, I would probably just buy the expansion.

    I was confused because I did subscribe for a month back in 2015, so I would have assumed I would have been able to level to 60 or 65, but I'm guessing I must have subscribed before Knights of the Fallen Empire, and probably Shadow of Revan wasn't free to subscribers at that point or something.

    Thanks for the info!

    You might have been subbed early enough in 2015 that SoR wasn't free to subscribers, I think it became free to subs with the launch of KOTFE. I do know that SoR was the last expansion that could be purchased, so I would really recommend just subbing for a month, as that $15 would get you all of SoR, and all of KOTFE, plus, if you time it right, would also give you access to KOTET as well, vs. $20 for SoR alone. Plus, Amazon should have deals, that while they cost more than a single months subscription, usually give 2-3 months sub and a packet of Cartel Coins, plus an exclusive cosmetic reward (usually a pet), for a really goo deal (like 3 months sub, plus pet, plus Coins for a little more than the cost of 2 months sub).

    Always recommend subbing for a single month over buying the expansions, you get more for it, and once you unsub, you still have access to all content you had access to while subbed (level cap, planets, crafting level, etc.) with regular preferred restrictions applied (credit cap, number of alts cap, that kind of thing).
