SWTOR Name Change Item Disappeared

I put $10 worth of Cartel Coins onto my SWTOR account (1050 coins to be exact), and I bought two things: an unlock inventory module, and a name change. I bought the name change due to me not knowing about the Legacy system, and I gave my guy a last name. Not to mention my name was already ridiculous. I went to change my name, right-clicked the item and all that, and then I realized I had no idea what to change it to, so I clicked on the [X] in the top right of the name change window. The item is now gone, and I feel like I completely wasted my money. My brother said he did the same thing but got his item back, which makes me assume this is some type of glitch. I called support, but the voice prompt said that they don't handle with things that happen in-game, so I figured I should just come here first. All I know is that I will not spend any money on this game until I get either my item back or Cartel Coins.
