Try changing the connection method if possible ie. if dvi try display port etc other the that try using cru https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU to create an override for each monitor and see if things settle down
I tried CRU and that didn't help.
I use HDMI and did not have an adapter to try but that led me down a path to find the root cause.
I use an HDMI splitter as I use the same monitor for my PS4 as well. I decided to bypass the splitter and did not have an issue.
Plugged back into the splitter, issue returned.
Tried a different port on the splitter, still had the issue, but it was much less frequent. Like it was 20-30 seconds of graphics, then a few seconds of black, repeat. So clearly the HDMI splitter is the cause of the issue.
It's interesting that I get different rates on different ports on the splitter, makes me think the splitter is likely going bad. That or there is some base incompatability, which is unlikely but possible.
As I want to keep my PS4 option on my main monitor yet as well I'm going to replace the spittler first and then if that doesn't work figure it out from there.
Thanks for the help and leading me down the path to a potential solution.
