you are mistaken that the swtor account has always used the same email address as the ea account, using the same email later on accounts does not create a linkage
The linked ea account is automatically created when the swtor account is created and both are assigned the same email address as used to create the swtor account, this says that you used another gmail email address to create that swtor account
If you dont get the linked ea account sorted then no gametime can ever be added to that swtor account not even by swtor support
You can create a new swtor account, link that account to your current steam account and resend the screenshots in and the gametime can be added to the new swtor account
Can you help me as well my steam and swtor are linked and I purchased cartel coins and 1 month of subscription. The subscription is active when I check Steam. When I go in-game the subscription is not active. Also when I check payment history on swtor website it tells me to contact support.

It will be Monday before i can check with swtor support here , but have put it on the list to check your account for issues
you can try putting the swtor email use this link and reset the password, as the linked ea account should use the email address used to create the swtor account
The phone lines are open on saturday if you want to call them during the hours open to fix the account issue, this will be needed before they can add the gametime to your swtor account

support have asked you to resend screenshots as per shown in the guide, the ones you sent got rejected

I sent a new one when yesterday after I saw previous wasn't ok
