Heya... looks like it was my turn to get the mysterious red error bar. SWTOR username Fuffydud.
You need to reset the password on the linked EA account that account has the persona fuffydud2 (not FuffyDudofDoom your posting with now) that EA account uses the same gmail email as on your swtor account
use the following link to reset the password https://signin.ea.com/p/web2/resetPassword (insert the swtor email in the link) then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing
for future purchases, use incognito mode on chrome initially if you purchase on swtor.com to be sure browser cache and cookies is cleared
- 4 years ago@proxos666 looks like im having the same error trying to use the code redemption, my swtor username is gruftador

Looks like you are best to create a new swtor account.
The linked EA account for purchasing is the one that was compromised 5 years ago , given it was unsuccessful restoring that account means you can never purchase on that swtor account , unless that compromised ea account is recovered.

I'm having the very same problem. I've tried using incognito/clearing cache.

How can I do that? I only have 1 EA/swtor account. I don't even know what that "faketosave" is.

An ea account was created when the swtor account was created and at the time would of used the same email address , they now can have different emails and passwords but the linkage remains see this link
if you do not know the gmail used on that linked ea account ( likely the email used to create the swtor account ) call swtor support when the lines open they can update the email used on that ea account

So... an email that I maybe used 10 years ago, and don't even remember, which then I supposedly changed into the e-mail I have been using for my swtor and EA accounts for as long as I can remember (around 6 years at least), and never had any problems with subscribing before, I have to get that mysterious e-mail account back?
About phone support... What if my country is not listed there? - 4 years ago
Went to sign up again after a long break and getting this stupid error. I reset my EA passwords, remove payment methods on EA accounts and still get the error. What can I do now? User name in SWTOR is Dayma
How in the world did you guys screw this up so much and make it so hard to pay you?????

I'm having issues too, I've reset my EA account password and my SWToR password along with matching emails. I still get the error when trying to subscribe. Also, It's saying I have to change my character names.... Will that change if I'm subscribed or how do they determine who gets a name if it's duplicated due to server merges?
Thanks!

You need to reset the password on the linked EA account that account has the persona kleve920 (not moose474 your posting on now) that EA account uses a gmail email (email is different to swtor)
use the following link to reset the password https://signin.ea.com/p/web2/resetPassword then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing
for future purchases, use incognito mode on chrome initially if you purchase on swtor.com to be sure browser cache and cookies is cleared

There's a chance I had a different gmail account at that time and I have no idea what it is. I'm not getting the reset notification in my current gmail so I know that it's not the correct one. Is there anything else I can do or do I need to call in at this point?
- 4 years ago@proxos666 same error comes up when I click payment history... sorry

call swtor support when the lines open , they can update the email on that account if need be
- 4 years ago@proxos666 Okay, I appreciate your help!
