Unable to subscribe due to inactive EA account

I've been playing the game on and off since release but had some pretty significant hiatus periods, and an especially long one since 2018/2019. After getting the inspiration to play again recently, I wanted to get one of the bundles from the Store to kick things off, but was told by the website that there was an issue with the account (mind you I can log into the game perfectly fine and play). Going into the account settings, the issue appears to be that the SWTOR account is linked to an inactive EA account. I vaguely remember losing access to the EA account I initially bound my SWTOR account to, and I'm fairly sure that the email associated with the EA account in question no longer exists.

The question now is: How do I go about fixing this? All SWTOR related mail goes to my new email and I use the associated password for logging into the game, so should I theoretically be able to log int o the account as well (assuming I can remember the username)? I'm a bit lost, so I'll be grateful for any advice you can give.
