hello i need help with trying to unlink a account i had to steam with a old email that i no longer have access to so i can use my new account

are you talking swtor account using an old email or steam ?
if steam , just go to https://account.swtor.com/user/steam and unlink the steam account from your swtor account
if it is your swtor account , call swtor support when the lines are open so you can access your swtor account to unlink per above

I'm in Australia so not sure , just use the utc link to check the utc time the phones are open https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/timezone/utc
for example the US and UK lines open in 8 hrs time
