Unplugging headphones while in game causes it to stutter and crash!

Unplugging earphones or headphones causes the game to heavily stutter and eventually crash. im guessing its related to how the audio output is switching from various sources causing this problem,,the thing is that my pc's monitor has build-in speakers and get the sound via hdmi cable but occasionally i will use my headphones plugged in my pc directly (and not to the monitor's earphone jack) so whenever i unplug the headphones (while in game) it makes it very slow and crashes in short time after.. if anyone knows anything about that id appreciate some insight.

let me get this straight... this person has a problem after doing something. You then take the time to write a response and your response is, "don't do what caused the problem". Genius over here

unfortunately there is no known workaround to stop direct sound from crashing the game on switching the sound source mid game

Other than EA devs accounting for and gracefully handling that exception, that is.

i get what you're saying though, this probably take 20 minutes of actual effort.
