I actually look for flow most of all. Any time I have to wait for respawns, it pulls me out of my immersion. Likewise, a low drop rate on plot coupons really takes me out. I'd rather have to gather 80 things at a 100% drop rate than 8 things at a 10% drop rate.
I find that the more smoothly a quest is flowing, the more likely I am to appreciate being at a particular vantage point, or detour to try and take out a nasty-looking guy off to the side.
