Having a similar issue. Cannot connect to any server and I receive the "Your connection to the server has been lost" message.

I suspect that due to the expansion the swtor.exe file has been updated and you might have to ensure that your internet security software & hardware (firewall, anti-virus, router) aren't blocking it. If the file is already whitelisted, remove it and then add it again. The checksum for the file might have changed, so this should be the easiest way to ensure that it is not blocked in anyway.

None of it is working. I'm losing sub days.

fixed for me, I changed DNS servers to Google's and redone what you said.
after a restart and a fix in the launcher, I can now join a server.
