Game Screen Blanking/Requires PC Restart

My game screen has been blanking out where I can still hear the audio but the game screen isn't shown. It also makes my PC fan run like crazy. Not sure what is happening, but my Nvidia drivers are up to date and I've verified files on Steam. MY PC meets recommended specs. Anyone else having this issue? It seems turning off DLSS might help.

Thank you for sending that over. So, we do have a few things happening.

Based specifically on the DXDiag, these are the steps I'd perform:

    1. Update the Intel UHD Graphics 770 driver — currently running 32.0.101.5542, released in June 2024.
    2. Check HP Support/HP Support Assistant for available chipset, Intel Management Engine, network, audio, and other system-driver updates.
    3. Confirm BIOS F.35 is the latest BIOS offered by HP for their exact OMEN 45L GT22 model. Because this is an i9-14900K, Intel recommends the latest manufacturer BIOS containing microcode 0x12F or later.
    4. Install all available Windows Updates and restart the PC.
    5. Run System File Checker as Administrator:
      • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
      • sfc /scannow
    6. Run Windows Memory Diagnostic because the DXDiag contains multiple BSOD/LiveKernelEvent reports.
    7. Check Device Manager and Windows Event Viewer for driver/device errors corresponding to the BSOD timestamps.
    8. If the blue screens continue, collect the Windows minidump files for analysis to identify the failing driver or module.

Most of this takes no time at all once it starts running. I would update the Intel auto check, as that is the easiest to have it scan everything.

Let us know what happens once this is done.

    charlieswan101 Hey, there

We definitely want to get you into the game. Sorry to hear you have been having some issues there. Can you attach a DxDiag?

Once we get that, we can take a look and see what is happening in the background.

Also, we posted some information around issues like this too here: [INFO] Crashing using certain NVIDIA GPU's or Intel Processors

I would keep an eye on the updates as well. We can absolutely still look at your system, as I am curious about the error report.

    Thanks!
