No pre-load for this game anymore?

I could confirm that pre-loads are only available on Steam, Xbox Series S|X, and PS5.

I received an e-mail today from EA saying "The game you pre-ordered is now available to pre-load. Head over to your collection in the EA app to download and install now. That way, you can start playing the second it launches." Reports on-line are saying it's pre-loadable on Steam, PlayStation, and XBox, but it would seem not so for those of us who purchased through the EA App? 🤔 Odd.

I ended up chatting with support this afternoon and requested a refund. They obliged quickly and without objection. I have now purchased it via Steam and the pre-load is currently running. Such an odd way to handle a pre-load in the native app. 🤷🏻 At least the refund process was simple. Sounds like the Steam version can run without the EA App anyhow (just need to link your EA Account).
