I am at the start of the game, at the point when you first gain access to the armory screen. There is a grenade and a healing item, I equip them on two operators, I cannot do anything else after that. ESC does not work, can't get out of the menu. Also, switching to weapons does not work, no buttons work apart from equip and unequip.
This happens when opening a new menu for the first time (when the tutorial tips appear on the bottom right) and instead of closing the tutorial tip, you do something in this new menu (e.g. adding the first mod you find to a blaster).
This makes the menu being unable to close. It happened to me in the armory and also on the mod menu. Only solution is to kill the game process and restart it.
The problem is, I cannot confirm the tooltip inside the mod screen. So everytime I want to add the new mod, I am frozen inside this screen and I have to kill the game process - Nice one.
Really thought maybe this is an EA STar Wars game without game breaking bugs - But no, why would an EA game be different than the others...
I had same issue. Alt-F4 + Continue -> eventually going back to armory tutorial resolved the issue and I could pass... maybe I pressed wrong buttons or characters while tutorial popups were up.
