Players' fatigue for sure caused the drop in revenues.
They keep releasing new toons, rework factions, change the meta in a matter of weeks. If I were a whale that spent hundreds on Chaze at the beginning, then spent big on DN, then on Zaul, then Fulcrum, then on Phoenix to get Thrawn, just to see more changes coming in the horizon, I would have quit big time.
In the meantime no new content, no QoL updates that are so da/mn obvious, some long time bugs are still not fixed, some others are that make player spend more time in the game are (Zylo, Zader, Nutini, etc.).
Dev time is mostly focused on creating stuff to make players spend more. Well guess what, players might have become very much tired of this ****.
I mean what on earth were they thinking. No one went to business school in their team?
I think the truth is quite the opposite. Before when the meta was shifting the entire faction was changed. Now you only have to invest in only one toon, add him to the already developed core, and you are set. That if you bother buying that toon at all, this year there are only 4 game changing toons: Chaze, DN, Thrawn. And the Zaul gimmick.
Wiggs and the rest of rebels are still viable even if they are 1 year old for god sake, why would anyone spend more money for lesser or equal results?
