If you started farming FOST when BB8 was announced and he's only 5 stars, then you clearly weren't farming everyday. I started at the same time with 0 shards and my FOST is at 7 stars. I haven't refreshed one of the hard nodes a single time. I could even only farm two nodes until the end of october. So you were clearly doing something wrong.
