I think you'll find most (and probably all) have what's known as a shard chat where payouts are coordinated. No bad thing in itself but it can be a bit of a pain if they won't let you join.
Best bet is to reach out and ask if you can be part of the group or at least ask if there are payout times to avoid. You can change your payout twice per year but I'm afraid you are stuck in that arena shard.
I wasn't allowed to join my shard chat but they did let me know who was climbing and when. We have an agreement to stay out of each others' way. Which is OK.

P.S. be nice. People are generally OK and if you play nicely with them, then hopefully they'll reciprocate.
