- Two conquest cycles and I haven't seen a deadly catalyst - I found two this time before sector 4. Feast or famine. This is my least favorite aspect of conquest. Too much RNG is involved in putting together disk combos. Generally speaking this isn't a huge issue - but when you get unlucky it can throw your whole game off for the duration.

Dead Cat is way more rare than AA.
I generally have had no issues building AA VA TE CE each conquest.- M0st1yHarm1ess2 years agoNew SpectatorTVF's two statements sound about right to me. I can work with either of two stacks depending on which ones I start picking up in the beginning. I don't recall a conquest where by end of S3 I hadn't been able to put together either the usual CE/AA etc., or the offense/TM discs, or a blend between the two.
- Schwartzring2 years agoSeasoned TravelerI can confirm there is a Deadly Catalyst this round, I was shocked to get it actually at the end of T2 I think.
I can also confirm AA is there, I have a Blue & a Green so I'm getting lucky.
RNG sucks some days, I just finally found an Ability Exhaust & Caustic Emissions in Tier 4 "Schwartzring;c-2453999" wrote:

Do you actually use AE? I've never found that useful.- MasterSeedy2 years agoSeasoned Ace

depends on what you find.
I got 2x blue CE one conquest and decided to throw it together with my AE. The enemy couldn't do anything. I didn't have to kill them quickly with an AA/VA combo (which I wasn't using anyway -- I was mainly relying on ZA during that one) because there was just nothing they could do. It allowed me to stomp squads when I didn't have a good healer or support AoE.
I don't generally pick up AE, but if a node doesn't have good choices, I'll grab that as better than most of the ones that aren't central to whatever my main disk strategy is that Conquest. - deathbringer592 years agoRising Newcomer
Here's my set up for disks. I do have AA but only greens. Couldn't find a blue and I'm through sector 5 so no more disks coming my way. Protection shield is an interesting one though. - Whatelse732 years agoRising AceEvery disk is determined by RNG, just the same as which teams you face on nodes other than the mini-boss and boss.
If everyone got the same exact disks and we got all the good ones we wanted, it would be too easy for us to get through conquest and max crate the event. CG doesn't want anyone to get max crate, let alone everyone.
Sometimes you get them, sometimes they get you. - Schwartzring2 years agoSeasoned Traveler

Seedy pretty much covered it, I find it useful if I've got a lot of CE, TE, in there & the AE triggers immediately.
Its nice to stop the enemy from doing things that would cost you a point, like Malak taking out someone because he was left w/ 1 red sliver or something, etc etc.
It's not needed for early tiers but certain teams in T4/T5 it can be nice.
Not a go to option but I do like finding 1 of them along the way each month :) "Whatelse73;c-2454008" wrote:

Well that's demonstrably false.
