Appo dies from Doomed before LV

I wonder if its something where because he's not supposed to die before LV they coded him to like take 1 damage instead, which wouldn't matter in 99.9% of situations except where GM can reduce his max health down to one where he then died.
He still “took” the damage before, but he’s not supposed to die.
