April Fool's posts
If you weren't fooled by someone's post, good. That means they weren't trying to prank you, they were trying to prank someone who would fall for it. There's no reason to call people out for making ...

In my country it's not a holiday, it's not even spread and no one makes a joke or even knows about it. Does that entitle me to hate these posts? It's YOUR holiday, not mine. I haven't complained about today's posts and I didn't even see the internet, knowing everything was a potential lie.
Today my country remembers a war, where thousands were killed for nothing. Does that entitle me to hate this day? No. Does that entitle you to hate on me for not liking April's fools? No. So let the posters post and the complainers complain.
People are entitled to celebrate whatever they want, and harmless shenanigans that is a time honored tradition across several countries (even if not all) is not something that should have people haranguing posters.
I wouldn't hate on you for doing whatever you want for your holidays and traditions unless they involved hating on others for their harmless holiday traditions. I don't have to agree with something to not be disrespectful in regards to it, and that was the whole point of this thread. If it was simply complaining, the thread would not have been created.
Well... some people are offended when you make jokes to them. April fools it's not a harmless "holiday" (it could be, but some are sensitive). Maybe it's not what it should be, but it is what it is.
If the jest was intended in a malicious way, that would be justified. However mere harmless mischief intended to be good fun for all involved doesn't justify a malicious response. In a forum, a person chooses what threads to participate in, The only way the prank affects them is if they choose to have it do so, or someone steps over the line and actually makes a malicious joke, in which case a vehement response would be justified, but that wasn't the case in the threads I am talking about. I didn't see a single malicious prank post.
